We had a VW Golf but I was rear ended by a Drunk Driver. My wife wanted a 4 door car that we would feel safe in so we got a 1996 Volvo 850 GL. Great car, it had a lot of pep for not being Turbo. After about a year of owning it I totaled it. Time for another VOLVO !! This time we bought a 1997 Low Pressure Turbo.

1996 850 ran into a pole at over XX mph! Doors & Hood still opened

1997 Volvo 850 GLT Low pressure turbo was the replacement for the 1996. Our #1 reason for the 850 was safety.After about 2 months of owning the car I got the bug and started slowly modding the car. Factory it ran a 15.8 @ 88 mph. It now runs 14.599 @94.2 mph. Goal 14.00 @ 98 mph.
